M1 Collection My 'pride' carbine was that of Capt. Phillip R. Gray, (co. 'I', 3rd Bn., 23rd Marines) who landed on Iwo Jima 2/28/45 and was KIA. 3/5/45. The carbine came back in his foot locker. Also displayed his casket flag and photographs.
